Green Public Forum

On a beautiful autumn Saturday, 17 th of September 2022, took place the first Gryfino Green Public Forum.

Whole “green activities” took place in the relaxing atmosphere of the palace garden in  Gryfino: an extremely energetic jazz concert performed by Sylwester Ostrowski and Dorrey Lin Lyles, joint planting of spring flower bulbs (CebuLOVE!), games for children, eco-workshops (making flower bombs and painting reusable shopping bags), a lecture on the importance of urban greenery and a competition with plant prizes, tasty and healthy refreshments.

Forum participants also received free plant seedlings, so 300 new beautiful shrubs will soon appear in our surroundings.

As always, you could count on the presence of the Gryfino Rescue Association, thanks to which the participants of green forum could feel safe, and at the same time learn useful skills.

The picnic was organized as part of the project “Adaptation to climate changes through the development of green and blue infrastructure in Gryfino”, financed from the EEA Funds from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and from the country budget.

The first edition of the Green Public Forum took place thanks to the involvement of the Gryfino Commune, Gryfino House of Culture, Volunteer Fire Brigade, the Gryfino Rescue Association and partners from Pracownia Przyrodnicza Sosenka and Dobrzerzeczy.pl
