Eco bike rally “I choose a bike”

200 people took part in an eco bike rally on the route from Gryfino to Chwarstnica. The youngest cyclists were 2 years old and the oldest 73!

Thank you for the presence of all cycling brothers of our commune, and all visiting guests. You made the day great!

The finish of the rally was again in Chwarstnica. This is a place of exceptional beauty on the Blue Velo bicycle route. Here for the participants were prepared: a delicious gastronomic zone, comfortable deckchairs and animations for children. At the finish line, the Mayor of Gryfino City and Commune, Mieczysław Sawaryn, greeted the participants.

Those willing could learn first aid, the instructions were provided by the Gryfino Rescue Association. Volunteer firefighters from the Chwarstnica Volunteer Fire Brigade invited us to the fire truck.

Younger children were fishing, sorting garbage on educational boards, playing with colorful blocks. The older ones painted our wall with graffiti prepared by Dobrzerzeczy.pl. There was also a photo booth where cyclists could take a commemorative rally photo.

Awards (for the best time on the route and a set of collected stamps, and for the youngest and oldest participant) were presented by: Deputy Mayor of Gryfino Commune – Tomasz Miler, Village Mayor of Chwarstnica – Krzysztof Sarna and Councilor Roman Polański. We are very happy that once again you trusted us and showed up in such crowds at our rally! It’s really a pleasure to see many of you again.

We hope to meet each new participant again! It is thanks to you that the atmosphere of the rally is always unique.

This is confirmed by our volunteers placed along the route (thank you very much for the help of students of the 1st Secondary School in Gryfino and Zbigniew Kozakiewicz). We know that you are asking for “more” and we promise that we will come back again with another proposal!
