Ecological infrastructure for primary schools
As part of additional funding from the European Economic Area fund received in February 2024, the Gryfino Commune equipped primary schools in its area with infrastructure conducive to ecological education.
Permanent educational gardens were created in three primary schools (No. 1, 2 and 3) in the Gryfino area. As part of the task, garden sheds with benches were purchased and installed for each facility, and wooden planting boxes were purchased in which students sowed vegetable seeds and planted flowers and perennials. Above-ground tanks for collecting rainwater were also installed at each school.
In total, 3 garden sheds, 30 garden benches, 30 planting boxes were purchased and installed, and 6 rainwater collection tanks with a capacity of 700 liters were installed.
In four primary schools in the Gryfino commune (Chwarstnica, Gardno, Radziszewo, Żabnica), educational tables were installed and educational boards were made on photosynthesis, self- and non-self-food of organisms, forest layers and types of deciduous and coniferous trees.
A total of 16 tables and 20 boards were installed.
