Eco corner – a meeting place and ecological education

The subject of the task was to create a meeting place and ecological education place for the inhabitants of the Gryfino Commune and people visiting the “Laguna” Aquapark at Wodnika Street.

The following tasks were carried out as part of the task:

• 3 park shelters equipped with tables and benches,
• 4 wooden garden canopies around the barbecue area, fireplace, water curtain.

The shelters are connected by pedestrian paths with park benches and garbage bins.

An educational path was also created, consisting of 6 boards with drawings and information about:

• photosynthesis,
• autotrophy and heterotrophy of organisms,
• forest layers,
• types of deciduous trees,
• types of coniferous trees,
• types of meadow plants.

The corner is lit with solar lamps. Ornamental shrubs were planted along the communication routes.

At the entrance of the Eco-corner, there is a colorful spatial inscription GRYFINO, which was designed by Áslaug Katrín Aðalsteinsdóttir – Landscape Architect from Verkis Hf. from Reykjavik (Project Partner).

The entire place is monitored.
